Google Attempted to Demonstrate the Pixel 6a to Superfans

Leading up to the release of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Google expanded its Pixel Superfans club, allowing more individuals to join others who were equally enamoured by Google’s hardware. Since then, the club has given out a few gifts to members, primarily in the shape of socks. Select Pixel Superfans, on the other hand, were sent a gift this week that contained a Nest Audio and a pretty interesting colouring book.

There’s a QR code within the colouring book that takes you to what looks to be a new site where you can colour some Google devices. The Pixel 6a, a device that Google has yet to unveil, is mentioned in that colouring book.

On page 16 of the colouring book, Google mentions the “featured goods” that are highlighted throughout. Fans will be able to find both the Nest Thermostat and the Pixel 6a on pages 6-7.

Regrettably, the reference seems to be a lingering mistake, since the Pixel 6a is not mentioned on pages 6 or 7. We’re not sure whether Google was going to reveal the Pixel 6a this early or if the colouring book was supposed to arrive later, but it certainly seems to be a hint of things to come.

The Pixel 6, many Nest gadgets, and the Pixel Buds A are all included in the remainder of the colouring book. If you want to have some fun today, go visit to see everything. All of the pages from the colouring book can be found there, and they don’t seem to include the Pixel 6a as far as we can tell.

Here’s a brief rundown of the Pixel 6a’s narrative for those who haven’t been following it. We’re guessing it’ll look similar to the Pixel 6, operate on Google’s Tensor processor, and debut in May.
