The cast of ‘Lady In The Lake,’ a forthcoming series on Apple TV+, has been announced

Y’lan Noel, Mikey Madison, and Brett Gelman are all said to be joining the cast of Lady in the Lake on Apple TV+.

According to a recent Deadline story, the three actors will appear in Laura Lippman’s Apple TV+ series.

Some people may recognise Y’lan Noel from his appearance in The Purge, while others may recognise Mikey Madison from Better Things. A prospective Apple TV+ show starring Brett Gelman, Natalie Portman, and Lupita Nyong’o will also bring back fond memories of Strange Things.

The limited series, which has started production, takes place in 60s Baltimore, where an unsolved murder pushes housewife and mother, Maddie Schwartz, played by Portman, to reinvent her life as an investigative journalist and sets her on a collision course with Cleo Sherwood, played by Nyong’o, a hard-working woman juggling motherhood, many jobs and a passionate commitment to advancing Baltimore’s Black progressive agenda.

Even though we don’t yet have a premiere date for Lady in the Lake, Alma Har’el’s new series has the potential to be a hit on Apple TV+. Even more so when you take it as part of Apple One, Apple TV+ is one of the finest values in streaming at only 4.99 per month.
