Thanks to a new product from Lenovo, upgrading your business laptop’s performance may soon be much simpler.
The fourth iteration of the Lenovo ThinkBook 16p was unveiled at the company’s CES 2023 event, and it has some substantial upgrades and a unique function that sets it distinct from practically every laptop now available, but it will cost you.
The ThinkBook 16p, now in its fourth iteration, supports up to 16GB of DDR5 memory, 2TB of storage space across two SSDs, and the newest Intel Raptor Lake-H CPUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 Series graphics.

It will also have either a 2.5K 60Hz 16-inch IPS display covering 100% of the sRGB colour spectrum or a 3.2K 120Hz 16-inch mini-LED display covering 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, making it a potent tool for mobile makers and designers.
The battery has been replaced with a bigger 80Whr unit capable of rapid charging, and there is also a cool fingerprint reader for speedier access. Connectivity options include enhanced Wi-Fi 6E, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, an SD card reader, audio input, and HDMI 2.1 connection.
The Magic Bay, a convenient attachment at the top of the screen for additional components, contributes to the monitor’s already high performance standards. For instance, for 99.99 you can have an LTE modem for mobile internet access, and for 149.99 you can get a 4K camera attachment with features like auto-framing, automated ambient light adjustment, and a 270-degree tilt. For those who use their webcams for video calls often, there is a 200-lux, dimmable webcam light attachment available for 19.99.
The prices of the accessories itself are not unreasonable in and of themselves, but many consumers may be hesitant to spend so much money on items that now only operate with a single device. The laptop will be available for purchase at a starting price of 1,349 in May 2023.
The Lenovo ThinkBook 16p, now in its fourth iteration, is a fully loaded laptop ideal for the always moving business worker. The features it offers give it a temporary advantage over cheaper laptops.
